Decor - Rough - Peacock Ore

This colourful copper ore is composed of copper iron sulfide in the form of chalcopyrite and bornite. The tarnishing process, which creas multiple colors, has been induced by treatment in acid. Peacock ore is found in Mexico, USA and Canada. Its colors are related to the quantities of iron (red), copper (blue-green) and gold coloured pyrite and galena. Peacock ore is a stone of joy and happiness, it is said to turn you in positive directions and uplift you.
