Growing Medium Coconut - A Peat Alternative

-->Environmentally Friendly - Coir blocks are natural, environment friendly, 100% biodegradable, and affordable alternatives to other growth medium. The coconut husk fibre, chip, and pith/peat together act as a powerful growing medium. It has a neutral pH and a low E.C, making it ideal for most plants and growers.

-->Loosen Soil - Add to existing soil to loosen soil by breaking the hard pan and promote extensive rooting. This also increases soil aeration and microbial activity.

-->Retains Moisture - Coco Coir is very absorbent . It retains moisture well enough to cut watering frequency by 7-10 times and reduces the risk of plant mortality. Addition of perlite or vermiculite can aid in drainage.

-->Slow decomposition : Coco Coir decomposes slowly thereby lasting longer than peat.

-->Suggested Application Rates & Method - Each block yields 62-67 litres of growing medium volume. 12-13 blocks give a volume equal to a cubic yard.Usage. Place the blocks vertically on the concrete floor, 7-8 inches away from each other. Layer them by having the second layer go in the opposite direction, thereby making an interlocking pattern.Once

the blocks have been placed in that pattern with the recommended space between them, set the irrigation hose on misting mode to gently disperse water to prevent runoff. The blocks will expand to a heap with sawdust-like consistency in less than 20-25 min.Once it’s fully expanded, mix with a shovel, and add additives as needed.
